Tobin has worked in various roles at Texas Roadhouse for nearly thirty years, according to a company press release published Monday. Her previous roles at the casual chain include managing partner and vice president of training.

The president position had been held by CEO Jerry Morgan since 2021. Tobin will keep her current job responsibilities as chief learning and culture officer, which include food, service, training, research and development and diversity and inclusion initiatives. But the addition of the presidential role will add “more day-to-day responsibilities at all levels throughout the support center,” according to the press release. 

“This promotion creates a clear line of succession, which the Board of Directors and I have been working on for more than a year. With Gina as President, along with our phenomenal leadership team, I will be able to spend more time in the field supporting operations for all three concepts,” Morgan said in a statement.
