Name: Tiffany Furman
New title: Chief growth officer, KFC U.S.
Previous title: Chief financial officer, The Habit Burger & Grill
Furman is shifting to KFC U.S. from The Habit Burger & Grill, Yum Brands confirmed in an email Thursday. As chief growth officer, Furman will have responsibility for the chain’s development and finance strategies.
Furman has been with the company since 2008, Yum said. During more than a decade with Taco Bell she “played a key role in re-franchising and development efforts and helped launch iconic menu items,” Yum said in a statement.
According to her LinkedIn profile, Furman moved from Taco Bell to Habit Burger in 2022 where she was “architect and day-to-day leader of their More Magic More Margin transformation, leveraging the scale and power of Yum,” according to the statement.
However, Habit Burger’s performance has not kept pace with Yum’s profit pillars, Taco Bell U.S. and KFC international. In fact, according to Yum’s most recent 10-Q, Habit Burger’s same-store sales fell 3% year over year in Q1 2025, and its unit count fell by two net units to hit 379.
Furman said in a statement that the move to KFC came at a pivotal time for the brand given the opportunity to align the chain’s strategic development and finance priorities. The end goal is “partnering with our teams and franchisees to accelerate momentum, modernize the business and deliver meaningful value,” she said.
Yum is looking to change the chicken chain’s flagging fortunes. So far this year, Yum has promoted KFC U.S.’s chief marketing officer to president; launched a new marketing effort fronted by a dour Colonel Sanders; announced the shift of the brand’s headquarters from Kentucky to Texas; and developed plans to expand KFC’s Saucy concept beyond its initial, high-performing test unit.
