Dive Insight:
Jordan’s promotion is part of a larger shift in Domino’s organizational structure, CEO Russel Weiner said in a statement. Weiner said the new changes will improve the chain’s agility and make its Hungry for More strategy more effective and efficient. That strategy focuses on food quality, operational excellence, value and enhancing its franchisee base.
This four-pillar strategy, which was introduced December 2023, has helped the chain stay ahead of the competition in terms of value and sales growth. Last quarter, it grew same-store sales by 0.4% while its closest publicly traded competitors, Papa Johns and Pizza Hut, noted declines.
Jordan served in his previous role since May 2022 and has been in various executive roles at the pizza giant for over a decade, including executive vice president of Domino’s International and senior vice president and chief marketing officer. He originally joined the company as vice president of innovation.
The pizza chain also promoted Weiking Ng from the position of vice president, international for Asia, Middle East and Africa to the role of executive vice president of international, effective April 1. Ryan Mulally, previously vice president and assistant general counsel, was elevated to the position of executive vice president and general counsel and corporate secretary, effective March 15.
Ng, who has been with the company since 2020, will be responsible for Domino’s business and franchise relationships across over 90 countries. He joined the chain from Hilton, where he was vice president of Asia-Pacific strategy. He also worked in various positions at McDonald’s.
Mulally has decades of legal experience and has overseen the chain’s litigation team and its franchise and corporate standards. He served in his previous role since 2018 and joined the chain in 2008.
“Joe, Weiking, and Ryan are talented and respected leaders of our Company, and we are extremely fortunate to have such a strong bench of talent to move into these important roles,” said Weiner. “All three embody our Hungry for MORE strategic mindset and I am looking forward to the positive impact they'll continue having on the brand.”
