Dive Insight:
While some c-store retails, like Arko, have been focused on the value of new menu items, Casey’s is focusing on convenience and flavor variety. The new sandwiches will be available in warmers for grab-and-go customers to nab quickly and get on their way.
“The guest feedback from our soft launch has been overwhelmingly positive and now we’re sharing with all of Casey’s Country that we are the place to get a high-quality sandwich when you’re on-the-go,” said Brad Haga, senior vice president of prepared food and dispensed beverages at Casey’s.
The crispy chicken sandwich is a breaded chicken fillet with savory spices served with pickle chips. The spicy crispy chicken is similar, but with red chili pepper and other spices included in the breading. The angus beef burger is topped with American cheese and the breaded pork sandwich uses a pork fritter. All sandwiches are served on a brioche bun.
Casey’s is running an introductory promotion through April 20 where customers can get a 49-cent medium fountain drink when purchasing any of these sandwiches.
